Learn More About Robert A. Wells

Robert Wells was born in Hopewell, Virginia and raised in Richlands, Virginia. He earned bachelor degrees in both History and Economics at Virginia Tech prior to attaining his juris doctor at Wake Forest University.

He has made his home in Greensboro since 1992 and has been practicing law since 1996. For the first 20 years of his legal career, Robert worked with and became a partner in a private law firm in Greensboro, primarily handling general civil disputes; setting up corporations; and providing estate planning, estate administration and related services. During the course of his practice, he gravitated towards work assisting clients with estate planning and administration.

In 2016, Robert became in-house counsel for a state-wide mutual insurance company for whom he continues to work. At the same time, he opened RA Wells Law through which he maintained relationships with clients he had previously helped in estate and trust planning with ongoing services and new clients through their word-of-mouth referrals. He continues to focus his practice on business and estate planning and administration.

Robert lives with his wife of more than 25 years and their three children, serving actively in his church and enjoys playing tennis in his free time.
